This shoe shaper is a plastic device covered in a suede-like material that you insert into your shoes when you’re not wearing them. 

Pros: 

• It is universal and adaptable, so you can use it on any shoes, from sneakers to boots (except pointed or kid’s shoes).
• Effective and practical, so you can maintain the form and appearance of your shoes for longer.
• Affordable and worth it, so you can get more value from your shoes without spending too much. 

Cons:

• The shoe shaper was not very sturdy in the front section.
• The shoe shaper does not fit Jordan’s as well as we expected (tested). 
• The fabric is prone to coming away from the plastic on the shapers and can look poorly cut. 

Overall, we think the shoe shaper is good enough for the money recommended, but we hope the quality control improves.

If you love your shoes, you know how annoying it is when they get creased or crushed.

You want to keep them looking new but don’t want to spend a fortune on shoe care products.

That’s why you need these shoe crease protectors. Easy to use and fit into shoes perfectly. Don’t let your shoes get ruined by creases or crushes.

Recommend: Place them inside your shoes; when you’re not wearing them, you can wear them with shoes, but it’s uncomfortable. 

Pros:

• Effective and reliable, you can prevent your shoes from collapsing or wrinkling.
• High quality and safe, so you can use them without worrying about allergic reactions or toxic materials.
• Universal and adaptable so that you can use them on any shoes, especially Nike Air Force.

Cons:

• Instructions for putting them into shoes are confusing; be prepared for some trial and error testing. 
• They didn’t reach the front of the shoe completely, and they felt slightly uncomfortable on one of our feet.
• Trimming the protector may be required. 

Overall, we think these shoe crease protectors are very good for their value, and we would recommend them to anyone who wants to keep their shoes crease-free.

How is the packaging?  

The packaging is simple, see-through to see what you are purchasing, and has directions of use printed on the back. The purple/white plastic packaging is finished in “Essential” Jason Markk branding showing the Premium Deep Cleaning Solution and the Standard Bristle Brush. 

When you first receive your new Jason Markk Essential Kit it comes in simple see-through plastic packaging that can be unsealed from the top. 

The Jason Markk Premium Deep Cleaning Solution bottle has cleaning guide information, suede and nubuck cleaning note, ingredients, and a warning caution that states; 

“If swallowed, contact a physician. If eye contact occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and contact a physician. If skin irritations occurs, rinse with water and contact a physician. Keep out of reach for children.”

Premium Deep Cleaning Solution

How to use it?

For suede or nubuck use the Premium Suede Cleaning Kit. Use minimal water and brush gently and test for colour fastness. 

The Jason Markk Essential Kit requires 6 simple steps: 

1. Pour lukewarm water into a bowl and dip the brush. 
2. Apply 4-5 drops of cleaning solution to the brush. 
3. Dry brush shoes to remove dust.  
4. Shake to ensure it is not oversaturated. Scrub the shoe gently in a circular motion.
5. Use a microfibre cloth provided to wipe away excess cleaning solution and water.  
6. Repeat the process until your sneakers are fresh and air dry shoes for 24 hours. 

How long does it last? 

The Premium Deep Cleaning Solution comes in a 118ml purple plastic bottle with Jason Markk requesting once the bottle is used to recycle. The expiry date or shelf life of the sneaker cleaning solution is not clearly stated.  

Jason Markk claims that their cleaning solution can clean up to 100 pairs of shoes. This depends on the amount of cleaner you use for each clean but you don’t need a lot. 

When the Jason Markk shoe cleaner was tested found that 4-5 drops of cleaning solution were enough to clean a shoe. While cleaning make sure you dip the brush back into the cleaning solution and water mix it, don’t use a dirty pal.

Does the Jason Markk cleaning solution work? 

Yes, depending on the type of material you are cleaning and the type of stain the solution will perform differently. While testing the Jason Markk Essential Kit found it works best on leather sneakers. Fabric shoes need a bit more work and more likely the premium bristle brush. 

The Jason Markk Essential Cleaning Solution smells like fresh detergent, you know that smell you get with clean washed clothes? Smells amazing right your shoes will just as nice. Say bye to horrible shoe smells.

Standard Bristle Brush

Standard Bristle Brush Measurements:  

If you have medium to large hands the brush does feel slightly small to firmly grip with one hand. The bristles are stiff but on the leather upper and midsole of the sneakers, they managed to remove dirt and stains. 

Is the sneaker cleaning brush good?  

Yes, the Jason Markk Standard Bristle Brush helps to lift dirt and stains and it is constructed of handcrafted wood. The cleaning solution works well with the brush on leather sneakers very well. Be mindful that the amount of dirt or type of stain on your shoes will require you to repeat the process. 

Quick Wipes 

Are the Jason Markk Sneaker Quick Wipes good? 

Yes, the textured raised dots and soft side are able to clean rubber shoes very well by removing all of the dirt. Wipes are sold separately as part of a 3-pack or 30-pack option. The wipes are durable and even after harsh cleaning of the midsole the wipes are unlikely to rip. 

How to use them?

1. Tear open the package. 
2. Gently wipe shoes with the Quick Wipe smooth surface. 
3. If dirt remains, use the rough textured side.
4. Repeat until your sneakers are clean. 

Note: Wipes are not recommended for suede and nubuck.

• Pocket-sized shoe wipes are ideal for travel. 
• Fit into pockets, bags, and purses. 
• One wipe can clean at least 2 pairs of shoes without having to use a new pack.

Microfibre Towel

Is the microfibre cloth good? 

Yes, the Jason Markk Microfibre Towel is high quality in terms of how it feels, thick, and has a large surface area. Jason Markk claims their microfibre towel can absorb “up to 7 times its weight in water making it highly absorbent and quick-drying.”

Not included as part of the Essential Cleaning Kit. Available if you purchase the Travel Shoe Cleaning Kit and Ready-To-Use Bundle. 

Repel Spray

Note: When spraying make sure the room is well ventilated and do not inhale the spray, it has a harsh smell. 

The Jason Markk spray works and does a very good job of protecting footwear, hats, bags, and other items you want to care for. 

Advantages:

• Reusable 
• Water-based formular that is odorless and colorless. Safe to use indoors. 
•  Works great on absorbent materials. 

How to use them? 

1. Make sure sneakers are clean and dry. Shake spray before use. 
2. Spray evenly around the shoe from 20cm away. 
3. Leave to dry.
4. Spray again evenly to create a protective barrier.
5. Leave to dry.

Verdict: 

It’s clear that Jason Markk focuses on quality over quantity. You don’t get everything you need to start your sneaker cleaning journey with the Essential Cleaning Kit.

The Travel Shoe Cleaning Kit is the best value for money. It includes a premium deep cleaning solution, travel case, microfibre towel, premium cleaning brush, and 3 Quick Wipes. There isn’t a big difference in price either, no brainer really. 

• Premium Deep Cleaning Solution – 118ml is more than enough to clean plenty of shoes or bags. The standard brush feels well made and works on loads of different materials.
• Jason Markk Wipes – Bit of a shame that the Quick Wipes are not included as part of the Shoe Essential Cleaning Kit. A pack of 3 sold separately seems a bit stingy. A pack of 30 also sold separately seems like a bit much. Would be good if they offered an option in the middle. 
• Standard Bristle Brush – My hands are not the biggest but the brush did feel small when testing. But the bristles more than made up for it you can feel the dirt and stains being destroyed by the stiff bristles.

The packaging is very creative, all the items need to clean fit inside the case that works ideally as a travel case and water bowl. The hard shell travel case is finished in jet black with Crep Protect branding embossed with a banana yellow zipper. The case does an excellent job of protecting the cleaning items inside.

When you first receive your new Crep Protect Cure Kit the case is surrounded by a sleeve with a cleaning illustration. Very helpful sick idea. 

The Crep Protect Cure cleaning solution bottle has a cleaning guide information, suede and nubuck cleaning note, ingredients, and a warning caution that states; 

“Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from eyes. If the cleaning solution gets into the eyes rinse thoroughly with water. People with sensitive or damaged skin should avoid contact with the product. If the product is ingested seek medical attention”

The Crep Protect Cure Cleaning Solution smells amazing, think of your favourite fruit… Now double that sensation hmm… While testing this product out I kept smelling it couldn’t get enough of it and you won’t either.

If you have medium to large hands the brush does feel big enough to firmly grip with one hand. The bristles are on the soft flexi side however on a leather upper sneaker they managed to remove dirt and stains. 

Is the sneaker cleaning brush good?  

Yes, the Crep Protect medium bristle brush helps to lift dirt and stains and there is a slight dip in the middle for added grip and design. The cleaning solution works well with the brush on leather sneakers very well. Be mindful that the amount of dirt or type of stain on your shoes will require different cleaning steps and techniques. 

Crep Wipes 12 Pack

Are the Crep Protect Sneaker Wipes good? 

Yes, the textured raised dots cleaned the pair of Adidas ZX 22 Boost very well by removing all of the dry mud on the midsole. 12 wipes are provided as a set sold separately in a metal tin case. The wipes are durable and even after harsh cleaning of the midsole the wipes never ripped. 

How to use them?

1. Tear open the package. 
2. Gently wipe shoes with a smooth surface. 
3. If dirt remains, use the rough textured side.
4. Repeat until your sneakers are clean.

Microfibre Cloth

Is the microfibre cloth good? 

Yes, the Crep Protect microfibre cloth is high quality in terms of how it feels, is thick, and has a large surface area. The large surface area is an advantage as it lets you soak up as much water as possible. 

Crep Spray

Note: When spraying make sure the room is well ventilated and do not inhale the spray, it has a harsh smell. 

The Crep Protect Spray works and does a very good job at protecting footwear, hats, bags, and other items you want to care for. 

Crep Protect claims their is… “ultimate rain and stain resistant barrier.” The spray creates a protective layer that reduces the amount of rainwater and stains on your shoes using nanotechnology. 

How to use: 

1. Make sure sneakers are clean. Shake the spray before use. 
2. Spray evenly around the shoe from 20cm away. 
3. Leave to dry for approx 10 minutes.
4. Spray again evenly to create a protective barrier.
5. Leave to dry for approx 10 minutes.

Verdict: 

Need a sneaker cleaning kit that has everything, a water bowl and storage, and a travel case, ticks all the boxes. Cleaning solution at 100ml is a bit small but used generously it should last for a number of months.   

• Travel and Storage Case – Out of all the sneaker and shoe cleaning kits tested this is the best travel cleaning kit and has everything included. 
• Crep protect Wipes – The wipes are amazing when we tested them they removed all the mud. The only letdown was they were not included as part of the cleaning set, have to purchase separately.  
• Premium Bristle Brush – The brush is the biggest out of all brands reviewed and was able to clean more of the shoe. However, some of the bristles did break away probably because is it made from natural materials that don’t damage sneakers.

How is the packaging?  

The packaging is very impressive, sleek, and easy to travel with. The design is very simple cardboard style with white Reshoevn8r branding. As with most cardboard it can be recycled, good to see that Reshoevn8r is being environmentally friendly. 

The items are wrapped in a peel-away sleeve that has the direction of use information, contents, and a warning disclaimer that states; “Reshoevn8r is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any defect, error or failure to perform using this product.”

Reshoevn8r Cleaning Solution

How to use it?

For suede or nubuck, a suede-specific sneaker cleaning kit works better. The brush provided as part of the Reshoevn8r Original Kit might not produce the best result. 

The Reshoevn8r Original Kit requires 7 simple steps: 

1. Fill a bowl with water.
2. Add 4-5 drops of cleaning solution to the water. 
3. Dry brush shoes to remove dust.  
4. Dip brush into water and solution mix, shake to ensure it is not oversaturated. 
5. Scrub the shoe gently in a circular motion. Clean half a shoe then dip the brush back in the mixture to clean the other half.  
6. Use a microfibre cloth to wipe away excess cleaning solution and water.  
7. Repeat the process until your sneakers are fresh and air dry shoes for 24 hours. 

How long does it last? 

The cleaning solution comes in a 118ml clear plastic bottle with Reshoevn8r warning that it will irritate the eyes. Great as you can see how much is left. It is unclear what the expiry date on the bottle is or the shelf life of the solution.  

The number of cleans you can get from a single bottle is hard to determine all depends on how much you use. 

When the Reshoevn8r shoe cleaner was tested found that 4-5 drops of cleaning solution were enough to clean half of a shoe only. So to clean a whole shoe focus on one side first and then once that side is done dip the brush back into the mixing solution and gently scrub the other side. 

Using 4-5 drops of cleaning solution works well and it is enough to clean a pair of sneakers however halfway through you might need to swap the water. 

Does the Reshoevn8r cleaning solution work? 

Yes, depending on the type of material you clean and the type of stain the cleaning solution will perform differently. While testing the Reshoevn8r Original Kit found it works best on leather sneakers. After repeating the process stains in the stitching did not come out however; the shoes cleaned were really dirty. 

The fragrance in the solution smells sort of bland and I didn’t get that freshly cleaned sneakers smell. The cleaning solution works well as you can see from this pair of Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme “White” on which the product was tested on.

If you have medium to large hands the brush does feel big enough to firmly grip with one hand and clean your shoes properly. The bristles are on the soft flexy side however on a leather upper sneaker they managed to remove dirt and stains. The softness of the bristles did not chip away at the heat-stamped red Supreme logo. 

Is the sneaker cleaning brush good?  

Yes, the Reshoevn8r medium bristle brush helps to lift dirt and stains that have sunk into leather sneakers. The cleaning solution works well with the brush on leather sneakers very well. Be mindful that the amount of dirt or type of stain on your shoes will require different cleaning steps and techniques.

Are the Reshoevn8r Sneaker Wipes good? 

Yes, the textured raised dots cleaned the pair of Nike Dunk Low UCLA very well by removing all of the drink stains on the leather upper. The 6 wipes provided as part of the cleaning kit, are very durable, and even after harsh cleaning of the midsole the wipes never ripped. 

How to use it?

1. Tear open the package. 
2. Gently wipe shoes with a smooth surface. 
3. If dirt remains, use the rough textured side.
4. Repeat until your sneakers are clean. 

Ingredients: 

Water and Reshoevn8r Cleaning Solution. 

Wipes are not recommended for suede and nubuck. 

Pocket-sized shoe wipes are ideal for travel. Would recommend using the sneaker to wipe the smooth and textured side, giving different cleaning surfaces that are ideal for leather. One wipe could clean at least 2 pairs of shoes without having to use a new pack.  

Verdict: 

If you are looking for a sneaker cleaning kit that has eco-friendly packaging, includes sneaker wipes, and works well at cleaning leather this kit ticks all the boxes. The amount of cleaning solution you use depends on how dirty your sneakers are 4-5 drops should be enough.

How is the packaging?  

Right from the jump, the packing isn’t very exciting its bulky, easily cracks and the items inside are not secured firmly. However, none of the items inside the packing were damaged. The outer Squeaky Clean branded box peels at the top and a slide-out white tray that shows the cleaning items.

How to use it?

Do not use on suede or nubuck found that using a suede-specific sneaker cleaning kit works better. 

In comparison to sneaker cleaning kits that require you to mix water with the cleaning solution, only the foam is needed.

The Squeaky Clean solution requires three simple steps:

1. Dry dust sneakers, bags, or hats to remove the top layer of dirt. 
2. Squeeze foam from the bottle directly onto the brush. 
3. Brush in a circular motion until the dirt has been removed. 
4. Use a microfibre cloth to wipe away the excess foam. 
5. Repeat the process until your sneakers are fresh. 

How long does it last? 

The ready-to-use liquid foam comes in a 200ml pump action plastic bottle. Crease Protect states that the foam cleaning formula has a 3-year shelf life. Each bottle is labeled with an expiry date.  

The amount of cleans you can get from a single bottle is hard to determine all depends on how much you use. 

When the Squeaky Clean foam shoe cleaner was tested found that 3-5 pumps of foam were enough to clean half of a shoe only. So to clean a whole shoe focus on one side first and then once that side is done squeeze more foam onto the brush and scrub the other side. 

Only using 3-5 pumps of the foam starts to fade and it’s less effective in removing the dirt and stains. To clean a pair of sneakers you need a minimum of 15-20 squeezes of foam. 

Does the ready-to-use foam work? 

Yes, depending on the type of material you are cleaning and the type of stain the foam will perform differently. While testing the squeaky clean premium shoe cleaner kit found it works best on leather, synthetic leather, mesh, fabric, and flyknit sneakers. 

The fragrance in the solution smells nice a bit like shower gel but the smell can get a bit overwhelming, make sure the room is well ventilated. Definitely leaves your trainers smelling better than they did before cleaning.

• 5-15% anionic surfactants 
• 2-benzisothiazol-3(2h)-one
• 2-methyl-2h-isothiazol-3-one

Brush 

Squeaky Clean Brush Measurements:  

If you have medium to large hands the brush does feel small and it is hard to get a firm grip. But the bristles are stiff enough to clean properly and remove dirt make sure you scrub gently. The stiffness of the bristles can chip away at paint or damage suede try to be gentle in these areas. 

Is the sneaker cleaning brush good?  

Yes, the Squeaky Clean Kit brush helps to lift dirt and stains that have sunk into leather sneakers. The foam solution works well with the brush on leather, mesh, fabric, and flyknit sneakers. Be mindful that the amount of dirt or type of stain on your shoes will require you to repeat cleaning process. 

Microfibre Cloth 

Is the Microfibre cloth good? 

The microfibre cloth is low quality in terms of how it feels, thin, and isn’t very large in surface area. Just by looking at it, you can see through the microfibre cloth and when wiping down the shoes not all the foam is removed. 

Would recommend using a different microfibre cloth for the cleaning process, the one provided isn’t up to scratch in my opinion. Having felt the cleaning cloth it’s clear to see that it won’t last very long if you have many sneakers to clean or plan on keeping them for a long time.   

The surface area of the microfibre cloth is reasonable it measures 28 x 30 cm which was more than enough to clean a pair of sneakers when we tested. 

Verdict

If you are looking for a sneaker cleaning kit that is budget-friendly, easy to use, and works well at cleaning different trainers. From testing this product we reckon it would easily clean 50-80 pairs of sneakers if used moderately. 

• Budget Friendly – At the price for all the sneaker cleaning kits tested it was the cheapest. However; the only thing that lets it down is the packaging and microfibre cloth. Improvements could be made to the quality of the microfibre cloth, one provided is good enough to clean a limited number of pairs.
• Easy-To-Use – Very simple to use this kit requires no water and the foam depending on how often you use it could last you 6 – 9 months if you are cleaning your sneakers at least twice a month.
• All essential items included – No need to purchase anything extra to help with the cleaning process, which is a bonus. The 200ml ready-to-use foam solution is slightly bulky to travel with in my opinion and works best at home.

Air Force 1

The Low Nike Air Force 1 is the most popular sneaker constructed of synthetic leather, which will stretch and lose colour over time. Cleaning the trainers using pink stuff paste is fine as it will break down stains and mud that appear on the surface. 

White Vans

White Vans are usually designed with a canvas fabric or leather upper. Using the pink stuff stain remover is fine as long as correct cleaning guidance is followed.

Pink stuff can be used to clean converse with tough surface stains as the product is soluble in water. 

Leather Shoes

Pink stuff paste is an all-purpose cleaner that quickly and efficiently removes the most stubborn stains on leather shoes. Small test amounts should be used to being to see how the leather shoe’s surface reacts with the paste. 

Black Trainers

Black trainers come in a variety of materials. Black leather trainers are normally made of nonwoven fabric and polyurethane resin; therefore, they can resist all stains and spills and are easy to clean using pink stuff paste in the event of soiling. 

How do you use pink stuff on shoes? 

Apply gently on a dampened cloth, medium bristle brush, or sponge and rub the surface of the shoes and rinse well with clean water. If necessary, polish with a clean, dry cloth. 

Does the pink stuff get rid of yellow stains on shoes?

The simple answer is Yes!

Stains on shoes usually consist of starchy carbohydrate elements, protein, oil, dyes, and pigments such as red wine and lipstick. The majority of stains contain a mixture of these components. 

Stubborn protein-based stains, i.e. blood on your trainers, are broken down by the pink stuff cleaning paste when mixed with water. This speeds up the chemical processes, removing them from the surface of shoes with minimal effort.

The pink stuff cleaning paste is a degreasing agent that has a mild detergent odour. It contains a blend of quartz, soap, sodium carbonate (baking soda), and sodium percarbonate to de-stain, deodorize, and whiten stained shoes.

• May intensify fire; oxidiser. 
• Harmful if swallowed. 
• Causes skin irritation. 
• Causes serious eye damage. 
• Causes serious eye irritation.

How long to leave pink stuff cleaner on shoes

Rinse immediately after gently applying and scrubbing the surface of the shoes. After scrubbing and lifting stains, leave for 2-3 minutes to allow the cleaning paste to break down the stains, and then rinse using a damp microfibre cloth until clear.
